Live for today

I know this is a famous saying but it is so true we don't know when our lives will end. Scary? Not if you have Christ even though we don't have Insurance we have assurance, assurance that there is a way to heaven ind its no Magic trick, Hard perfection rules or even 100 mother Mary's its just one man who was born to a virgin and is of God, he lived a perfect life, he died a sinners death and rose again our sins are wiped clean he took our punishment. But why do we need it... Because God created us with a choice and we decided to sin and God can't dwell with sinners so he sent Jesus (Christ) to die for OUR sins even if there was only one sinner in the world he would have died for that one person. How loving is that?

Even if we're wrong we don't have anything to lose I quote a unknown Non-Christian from a yahoo answers member (edited to suit blog)

We follow different religions, yet we may be grouped in one group against those who believe in no god, the subject is that all religions confirm that there will be severe punishment in the hereafter for those who believed in no god.

1) Believers in God

2) Unbelievers

The two groups above must have equal chance of being right:

1) The believers (50%)

2) The unbelievers (50%)

If the 50% possibility of non god existence is true then:

1) Lost nothing and won nothing

2) Lost Nothing, and won nothing

If the 50% possibility of god existence is true then:

1) Lost nothing Won everything

2) Lost everything

I.e. group 2 will not be safe while group 1 has a chance to be safe and even be winners. The numbers do not lie, Group 2 will always have a chance up to 50% to be doomed while group 1 do not have such chance. The important point is this, it is group 2 who will put themselves in that possible and very tough situation, i.e. till the moment of their natural death they should always be worried about that because they heard the message of all religions and are proud to reject all of them, they chose to reject the God and take the 50% very risky gamble.

So back to my first point living for today its now or never with God, if you say I'll ask for his forgiveness later you may never have the chance and if you ask for his forgiveness today you can live knowing that you have the promise of living forever in heaven

If you still don't want this forgiveness that's ok I pray you know what your doing,
If you already have this forgiveness that's great and
If you would like to ask for that forgiveness Pray to God for forgiveness prayer is just talking to God like you would talk to your best mate
here are a few simple Gide lines
1. Acknowledge in your heart that Jesus is Lord.
2. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.
3. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and was raised three days later.
4. Repent of your sins.
still confused? just say this prayer
God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in Jesus' precious and holy name. Amen.

Prayer doesn't have to be fancy just talk to him if you ask him questions he will give you answers in different ways somethings we don't even need to know the answer yet or at all so God wont tell us and if you ask for something his answers are simple Yes, No or Maybe Later
Good luck in your walk with him

Hi again!

This entry made me think about a lot of things... old thoughts, but I'll share what I came up with back then.

Okay, a while back, when I was debating with some existenialist people, I also brought up the chance-thing. However, unfortunately (yet amazingly for me), chance is never enough for people. We NEED to know EXACTLY what is and isn't.

And because I once had simple reasons for believing in God (such as the 50/50 chance deal), my faith was very... uninspired, faked, and uncertain. My faith wasn't real, because I was just believing out of fear, not real belief (I didn't KNOW I was just playing out by chance). *note: this was just one reason for my belief at the time, but it fits this example.

So, again, what I have to bring up is the Truth. I think that deep down people want the Truth, but they see Christianity as made-up, ridiculous, crazy BELIEF, and not fact. They think that it all comes from an ancient book called the Bible, written by a bunch of old men, that people who believe believe only because their parents told them too, and they were stupid enough as children to accept the "cultism". They spread their perception of Christianity to all religion, and say things like "it just depends on where you grow up" (which is true to a certain degree; however, many lies are comprised of half-truth and incomplete information, like that lie).

As a young adult, I always had my doubts about God, because my belief WAS always that of a child. I went through a period when I was searching for answers, searching for God in this crazy world.

And you know what? I found logical, reasonable, REAL reasons and answers that point straight to God. *note: I am still searching for some answers to Chrisianity's specifics, but I have the basics down.

Finding and accepting Jesus is not about chance. It's about reality and (yes, but if you think about it, everything is) about belief. You have to choose a path, and Christianity has its logical reasons.

To start, I highly suggest reading Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. It literally changed my life. Keep thinking, exploring, and looking for God. You will find Him.

Thank you again, and Respectfully,

KJ
